Below please find listed the numerous way you can make an IMPACT on the health of your community through a gift to the Penrose-St. Francis Health Foundation.
Sisters of Charity Patient Financial Assistance Program
Patients who struggle with the cost of durable medical equipment or challenging financial circumstances upon leaving the hospital can receive support through the Sisters of Charity Patient Financial Assistance Program. A significant portion of the financial assistance provided by this program is comprised of donations from associates.
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
More than 700 babies born this year at St. Francis Medical Center will need intensive care. In order to continue to provide top-quality, infant-directed emergency care we will nearly double the number of beds in the NICU to meet the needs of our growing community.
John Zay Guest House
Located on the northeast corner of Tejon and Madison, just across the street from Penrose Hospital, the John Zay Guest House is a 22 room and/or suite hospitality residence available for outpatients and families of patients receiving treatment at Penrose Hospital or Penrose Cancer Center. There is never a charge for patients and their families to stay at the house, though some do opt to make a donation. Gifts to the House help pay for the upkeep and maintenance of the House, along with daily needs such as food and supplies for guests during their stay.
To get the very best cancer care, you don't have to travel very far. Strengthened by the Centura Health network, Colorado and Kansas' largest system of hospitals working together to treat more cancer patients, the Penrose Cancer Center brings world-class cancer technology and physicians right to southern Colorado's residents. We have been providing quality cancer care to adult patients since 1939, are one of the best-known, longest-standing community cancer programs in the western United States and have been a pioneer in radiation oncology for more than 70 years. Donations to our cancer programs assist patients with items not typically covered by insurance.
